Rail Products International

Rail Products International is an affiliate of National Electric Coil, a major electrical manufacturing corporation founded in 1917. In 1954, NEC began serving the railroad industry by rebuilding electrical motors and generators in railway locomotives. Today, as RPI, it repairs and rebuilds a wide range of electrical equipment for locomotives including DC traction motors, generators, alternators, armatures and field coils.

RPI supplies both rebuilt and new equipment to a number of well-known short line and Class 1

railroads, and the top locomotive rebuilders. Our manufacturing activities are performed in our Brownsville, Texas plant which has a (QMS) Quality Management System registered to both the ISO 9001-2015 and AAR M-1003 Standards.
